Wonderful Word Wednesday: Hypogeum




It's Wonderful Word Wednesday again and here's this week's word!


hypogeum
noun, plural hypogea
1.) Ancient Architecture. the underground part of a building, as a vault.
2.) an underground burial chamber.

Example Sentence: Mor stood at the entrance of the hypogeum, holding her torch high to split the blackness.
