Tea Tuesday: 10

I'm not really a coffee person. I prefer tea, and I know a lot of fellow writers love tea, too. But have you ever wanted to break out of the Early Grey or English Breakfast norm and try something new? Well, let me help you find some cool new teas! If you need a little hot and flavorful boost to help you reach your writing goal or you're just a lover of tea or you'd like to try some tea but aren't fond of the stereotypical types, these Tea Tuesday posts are for you.

This weeks tea is ...

*drum roll*

10

How I found it: I found this tea on the Adagio tea website while browsing through their many fandom blends. This is same tea company I got the Avatar: The Last Airbender set that includes AangKatara, and more, BBC Sherlock teas that include Sherlock Holmes (of course ;) ), John Watson, and more, and Tales and Tea Leaves (a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings set) that includes Barrels of TeaElevenses, and more. This is a part of the Doctor Who set which includes 9, 10, 11, River Song, Amy Pond and Rory Williams-Pond. All of the flavors are wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey!

The Tea: This tea is delightfully chocolaty from the chocolate tea and chocolate chips with a sweet twist from the marigold flowers perfectly reflecting the rich and sweet personality of the Tenth Doctor. He is my favorite doctor and I'm delighted to say this is one of my favorite teas of the set. I did not know you could even put marigold flowers in a tea, but they are delightful and make the tea very pretty. I could definitely see Ten drinking this. I haven't seen him eat chocolate but I'm sure he loves it. So I think this tea is ...

Serving Recommendations: I steeped the tea for three minutes and added sugar and cream.

How much is it and where can you get it? You can find this tea at the Adagio website. I bought this tea in a sample set which was about $22 including shipping and you get a goodly amount of tea since you only need about a teaspoon per cup. Some of these teas you can buy individually for about $10 a pouch or $4 for a sample tin.

So how good is it? I very much enjoyed the tea. It wasn't an exceedingly unique taste but it was delightful all the same. ^ ^

Have you tried this tea? What did you think of it? Have you seen Doctor Who? Who's your favorite character?

Bonus! If you are a first-time Adagio customer I can send you a $5 giftcard! Ask in the comments for details! (This is no joke and no catch I seriously can. It's part of the amazingness of Adagio Teas)

  1. I tend to prefer hot chocolate over both tea and coffee, being unable to stand the taste of the latters for more than a few sips. (Which, being a busy university student, leaves me in dire need of an alternate caffeine delivery system.)

However, for some reason, I very much enjoy the thought of drinking tea, and feel rather contented and inspired on those few occasions where I have a cup of it at my elbow. Perhaps I do just need to hunt down some more agreeable flavours.

    1. Most people think tea is just the generic tea which is frankly a very boring flavor. There is such a wide variety of teas. Discovering Adagio Teas has introduced me to many. Perhaps a chocolate-flavored tea could suit you. :) Thanks for commenting. ^ ^
